It never strays away from its fun elements. The highlight of Luka Chuppi is its intelligent writing. Things get out of hand when Babulal (Pankaj Tripathi) finds the home of the so-called married couple and Guddu’s parents are brought to the scene. The couple falls in love, one wants to get married, while the other would like to give live-in relationship a try. Guddu is a small-town TV journalist in Mathura, while Rashmi returns to the town after completing her journalism course in Delhi. The story takes a while to sink in, but the end product is hilarious, complete with memorable characters who ace over the lead actors in terms of acting and screen presence. Luka Chuppi is a humorous take on live-in relationships, its social stigma and the society around it. At the end of the song, the families pose for a picture, more like a caricature and they are happy.
